About RMU

Listen first. A simple idea, and a fundamental one.

What RMU is

RMU (Resilient Minds United) is a prevention method for adolescent mental health. It grows out of a simple idea, and a fundamental one: listen first. Before something breaks. Before assuming what teens are going through. Before deciding what to do.

Much of what teenagers go through makes no noise until it is already urgent. RMU gives schools and families a way to see it in time, and concrete tools to support them.

How it works

  • Listens before acting. Decisions start from what teens themselves say.
  • Protects every student's identity. Questionnaires are anonymous and the work is always with the group.
  • Prevents, does not diagnose. It does not replace health professionals: it works alongside them.
  • Includes families. They are always informed and have a space of their own.
  • Respects each institution. RMU supports; the school decides and follows its own protocols.

Casa Eninsa · Encuentros Integrales de Salud is a comprehensive health center for adolescents in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and RMU's first institutional partner. Its team supports the pilot with founding schools and offers in-person workshops, led by a mental health professional and a workshop facilitator, for schools that want to add them. It is also a reference point in the city for adolescents and families.

Where we are

In 2026, RMU begins with founding schools in Argentina, in partnership with Casa Eninsa. For the 2027–28 school year it is preparing its first schools in the United States, with a version adapted to federal and state requirements. RMU Families is already available in English and Spanish.
